As we feel the warmer weather and hear the constant early morning chirping of the birds, we welcome Spring with new beginning and a sense of hope and inspiration after the long, cold days of winter. This time of the Spring Equinox is a time of reflection, bringing us the opportunity to breathe and take a pause to reflect and to understand where we have come to, before moving forward with what we intend and wish to bring forth.
As we reflect and take a moment to pause, we have the opportunity to find a state of equilibrium. It takes great sensitivity to find a balanced state, amidst a world where all seems to be spinning out of balance, as we feel this polarity pull in all direction. We have all been faced with challenges in our lives with current global restrictions, especially here in Melbourne. Challenges of working from home or adapting new ways for our business, challenges in taking on a new role as a teacher in our children’s education and for many, a sense of a lack of motivation or a sense of complete alienation and isolation.
This has forced us to become more aware of our comfort zones and our internal state of being. Amidst the state of confusion and unrest, many have been able to move through what feels uncomfortable to discover new pathways for working and living. We have been able to assess what is necessary and simplify our lives to a more basic level of consumption. Growing organic vegetables from seeds, baking homemade breads, creating from the stock of our pantry and a sense of returning back to basics. In the process, it has given rise to assess a deeper level of our needs, our values and connecting to what enriches our soul in making our lives meaningful.
This is truly the gift – to unravel, awaken, and reconnect to ourselves in a new and profound way.
We witness the planet reacting with fires, hurricanes, earthquakes and floods, as she has seen many things come and go but has always managed to come back to a state of balance. The planet is inside each of us as we are inside of our beautiful Mother Earth, embracing and providing for every life form. As we gain an understanding of her cycles, we become aware of the forces pushing us out of our comfort zones. We come to realise that whatever we were holding on to as our reality has shifted and moved. We come to a new place of connecting and aligning with our own nature and with our beautiful planet, to grow and extend ourselves in ways we may have thought about and sometimes in ways we may have never imagined.
We have the choice to reflect internally and allow ourselves to move through it, to adapt and enrich ourselves, or choose to remain in a space that doesn’t feel familiar or comfortable by any means at all. This is the great awakening, the time of a shift in human consciousness as our current experiences mirror a reflection and an opportunity for transformation to a better world for Humanity and the Earth.
